The Travel Rack attaches to any bobtail or similar flat rack on any motorcycle. The single rack can be used in all situations. The double rack extends over the passenger seat and can only be used if you are riding solo and do not have a passenger back rest in the way of the Travel Rack. There are no alterations required to the motorcycle. The length of the mounting bolts is 1 ½ inches, and with the protective spacer between the Travel Rack and the permanent rack, these bolts fit most applications very well. The bolts are long enough to easily attach the Travel Rack but not too long to touch the fender of the motorcycle. The only tool required to attach the Travel Rack is a 5/32 Hex Key/Allen Wrench. The Travel Rack attaches in less than 30 seconds, and comes off just as quickly.
A small mounting plate slips under the permanent rack to receive the attachment bolts as they pass between the gaps in the rails of the permanent rack. In this manner, the travel rack is secured to the permanent rack.
